Facts
The client was alleged to have driven past a factory with a pair of bolt cutters in his car. He cut the fence, entered the premises and stole a trailer to the value of $2,500. He was driving whilst his license was suspended and had affixed false registration plates to the trailer.
Results
The client had extenuating circumstances. Between the date of offending and the time the matter went before a magistrate, he had turned his life around. The client was convicted and fined $1200. Following submissions, the magistrate opted not to further interfere with the client’s driver’s licence.
